Kindergarteners are beginning readers that are still learning high quality phonics instruction. As their teacher, I want to provide my students with a high quality read aloud library, so we can share stories about classic characters and favorites from my childhood. These books will give my students access to stories that teach love, tolerance, acceptance, and empathy. Can you think of a better way to learn than through a story? My goal is to use these new materials to teach my scholars to not only love reading, but use the books as an example about how to treat one another.
