So many kiddos have had the opportunity to come in to either learn new skills, take a quick break so they can be ready to learn again, or to just have someone to talk with. While in the room they have many areas and activities to suit their needs. Some students want to hide out in one of the calming areas. Others have a lot of energy and find that bouncing on the balls or doing some yoga moves is what they most need. Many kiddos find the arts or music areas to be most helpful. Whatever they choose, they are learning how to calm themselves and how to handle big emotions. \r\n\r\nOne student, who I had the opportunity to work with a couple of years ago, walked in to the room for the first time this year for a lunch bunch and exclaimed \"This is the COOLEST room EVER!\" That said a lot coming from this little one. This magic couldn't have happened without your help. Donors, I am extremely grateful for each of you, and my students are as well. \r\n\r\nThank you for giving so many students a safe space to be on campus.","fullyFundedDate":1760491773322,"projectUrl":"project/elementary-care-center/9802711/","projectTitle":"Elementary Care Center","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Workman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9317445"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_29710","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":620,"numTeachers":29,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":21,"percentBlack":15,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":56,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"21.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":80.0,"schoolId":29710,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Signal Hill Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Signal Hill Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/long-beach-unified-school-district/signal-hill-elementary-school/29710"}
