As an educator at a Title 1 school, where many of our families face economic hardships, I am always looking for ways to provide my students with fun and interesting resources to help them succeed. Your generous donations have allowed us to bring a wonderful variety of books into our classroom, and I am truly thankful.\r\n\r\nThese books are more than just pages and covers—they are gateways to new worlds, cultures, and experiences. Many of our students have limited access to books outside of school, and having these new additions means so much to them and to me. The joy and excitement on their faces when they discover a new story is indescribable.\r\n\r\nI want to share a few special moments we've had thanks to your contributions. The books I Am a Bold Asian Boy and Eyes That Speak to the Stars made a huge impact on one of our students who had never seen himself represented in literature before. We started the year with two students who couldn't speak English, the book Gibberish helped some of our students understand how they must feel when only a few other people in the room can understand them and talk to them in their language. Aloha Everything introduced our class to Hawaiian culture, leading to a delightful Hula party where we watched videos and learned to dance together. Another student who's family is from Samoa loved seeing another culture similar to his own.\r\n\r\nYour support has made it possible for me to share my love of reading and learning with my students. I am excited to continue showing them that books can take us anywhere, and I am so grateful for the supplies that will help keep our new books in good condition for years to come.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your kindness and generosity. Your contributions are making a profound difference in the lives of my students.","fullyFundedDate":1728312623065,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-the-world-to-the-classroom/8812432/","projectTitle":"Bringing the World to the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Corrine","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9772926_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1727219051195","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-judischkinder"},{"teacherId":2189351,"projectId":6132046,"letterContent":"Thank you for helping my students with headphones.
