Only one student expressed interest in spray paint this semester, however we have so much left over that it will continue to supply for my future Art 2 classes. \r\n\r\nThis material is fun. Students choose a celebrity or person, we then carve out different layers that represent highlights, shadows, midtones, and specific accessories. Then they use these layers to spray different colors that represent pop art style.\r\n\r\nThis is the first time this student has ever used spray paint and she said she was interested because its \"something different\" and she said \"when will i ever be able to have access to this kind of material again?\". A lot of students were grateful to be able to receive the gifts.\r\n\r\nLater in the semester we did paper mache masks, or equivalent. We have also held monthly AVID Fun Fridays and students have used various supplies from this project to do team-building and collaborative projects across grade levels. \r\n\r\nThe AVID family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to you all.
