Our lab room has been neglected for quite some time due to financial constraints. Many of the chemicals and lab equipment I have come across are too old and outdated. The supplies at hand is not enough not meet the requirements of conducting related lab work on the topics discussed in class. Over 80% my students receive free and reduced-price lunch, but eagerly participate in hands-on activities in group settings. Unfortunately, my ability to organize more lab works is limited by the lab supplies on hand. Purchasing new lab equipment will make it possible for students to learn hands-on lab work that helps to reinforce learned concepts. Working with new and modern equipment is very inspirational and this can help to spark students' interest in the subject.
