The students were so excited the first day they saw them—they immediately started claiming spots and asking when we could use them for reading. Having a comfortable place to settle in has made a big difference. Students now look forward to independent reading time and choose books more eagerly because they can stretch out and really focus.\r\n\r\nThe bean bags have also become a positive behavior incentive. Students work hard to earn \"bean bag time\" as a reward, which has helped improve classroom behavior and motivation. Beyond reading, these soft seats have strengthened our class community. Kids gather around them for partner discussions, small-group work, and even quiet reflection, creating a warmer, more connected learning space.\r\n\r\nWe're currently using the bean bags during our reading workshop and will continue incorporating them into upcoming literature circles and independent projects. I have several students who are more energized to use the reading corner of our room, and they find reading far more enjoyable when they are comfortable. The books are used nearly every day.
