Each year, due to the generous donations of the Donors Choose Team, we have been able to display the artistic creations of our challenged youth. This year is the first time all four schools were included in the art creations. It was an energetic opportunity for teachers and studens to make connections with each other. \r\nThe students were given the open opportunity to create a piece that represented themselves and how they see themselves. It was fun to talk with the students during the process about how they see themselves connected to the larger community and to the other schools in Alterntive Education. They were given free reign to utilize the materials provided to them via the generosity of the donors. We shared with them how important they are to the world, each other, and to themselves.
