However, we still had absences due severe illnesses. We experienced an outbreak of a stomach and a nasty flu virus that had a significant impact on our students coming to school. these viruses hindered our students from coming to school at least 3 to 4 days. Our attendance rates improved to 89 to 90%. Although, this is not where we want our attendance rate to be it was still up from 77% to 80%. We still acknowledged our classrooms that hit the 90% attendance rate with popcorn parties and we also shared your generous donation of treats. Our children were very excited to receive the treats. \r\nOur students wanted to express their appreciation with some letters that they wrote and we took some pictures that we will enclose. Our school will continuously try to get our students here on daily basis. Currently, I am working on producing a talent show to help showcase our student's talents. Our students are very excited and keep asking when I am going to put it on. Again, we want to express our gratitude in your very generous donations.","fullyFundedDate":1737409506346,"projectUrl":"project/to-help-increase-school-wide-attendance/8805083/","projectTitle":"To Help Increase School-Wide Attendance and Reduce Challenging Behaviors.","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Ruiz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9766836"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_78564","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":373,"numTeachers":24,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":92,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"15.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":58.9,"schoolId":78564,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Hoopa Valley Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Hoopa Valley Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/klamath-trinity-joint-unified-school-district/hoopa-valley-elementary-school/78564"}
