My students use the bean bags for independent reading during AR time for stations. Students also use the bean bags afterschool. The materials you provided not only help students in my class but other classes as well. The timers have helped my students who need extra support staying on task and focusing. Specially, the timers have helped me with one of my students who has special needs and has helped her stay focused on meeting her focus goals. The timers also help me give a visual to students who need to see how much time they have to share during ELD. \r\nBy Donating these materials, you have helped me collect resources that help my students have more hands on learning, as well as provide an expanded social emotions space. I have students who need to channel their emotional energy elsewhere. Before these materials, I would use what I had. As a first year teacher I haven't yet built an accumulation of resources to help students calm down. The magna tiles help students calm down and focus their energy on building rather than being overwhelmed.
