My students are using their new sketchbooks every day, and they have quickly become an important part of our classroom routine. We have been learning about one-point perspective, value, and how to transform simple shapes into three-dimensional forms. My students have amazed me with their talent and creativity! They have been using shading techniques to add value and dimension to their drawings, and I have been so impressed with the progress they are making.\r\n\r\nMy students were especially excited when they learned that our project had been funded. In the past, students were often expected to provide their own art supplies, which could be difficult for many families. Having these materials available in our classroom means that every student has the opportunity to participate fully and feel successful, regardless of what they are able to provide from home. They were incredibly grateful to have the tools they need to become confident, creative artists.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to learn about the Elements of Color. I am excited to see where their creativity takes them next!
