As students hop, step, throw, and balance, they are strengthening both their physical development and their confidence.\r\n\r\nThese resources have also enhanced our teaching by allowing us to incorporate movement into daily instruction. The alphabet tubs provide hands-on, engaging activities that help students build early literacy skills such as letter recognition, letter sounds, and vocabulary development. These materials allow our young learners to explore letters through play, which strengthens their understanding and builds confidence as they begin their reading journey.\r\n\r\nThe calendar accents support our daily calendar routines, helping students develop an understanding of numbers, days of the week, months, patterns, and concepts of time. These interactive routines promote language development, listening skills, and critical thinking while establishing consistent classroom structure.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, these materials allow me to create meaningful, developmentally appropriate lessons that engage all learners. I am able to provide small-group instruction, reinforce foundational literacy and math skills, and offer consistent routines that support student independence and participation. The materials also help differentiate instruction to meet the needs of each student.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped create a rich, supportive learning environment that lays a strong foundation for future academic success. Before we had the Pocketalk, it could be tough for some of them to fully join in on conversations or ask questions when they needed help. But now? The Pocketalk has totally changed the game.\r\n\r\nWe've been using it during lessons, small group time, and even one-on-one chats. One of the most touching moments was when a student who recently moved here was able to share about their family for the first time—with confidence! Everyone listened so closely, and it was clear that this moment mattered—to all of us.\r\n\r\nIt's also helped a ton during family conferences and check-ins. Parents feel more comfortable and involved, which is so important for building trust and supporting their kids.\r\n\r\nLong story short: Your donation didn't just give us a cool device—it gave our class more connection, confidence, and community. It has made a huge impact in my classroom. Since the easel can be used in many ways, it made teaching so much easier. I really like how the easel has everything in one place, where I can access a chart stand, whiteboard, magnetic board, etc. The students are able to sound out rhyming words on the whiteboard side by being able to move around magnetic letters to create words. This resulted in lots of engagement from students in our magnetic letter center. \r\nWe also used the book stand section of the easel to read big books. Before, I used to struggle to read aloud large books to the whole class, as I didn't have a proper book stand. Over the years, I have acquired a huge collection of big books with beautiful illustrations and wonderful stories. There is something special about being able to look closely at these books and the students often choose to read them on the rug in my classroom. I used to have a very old book stand and when I would read a story, the big books would often slip and fall over. \r\n\r\nMy next door neighbor in TK had this wonderful easel stand that had so many uses and could accomodate big books and chart paper. It was also two-sided, with a whiteboard on one side and the other had primary lines for printing. This easel would take the place of a whiteboard, book stand and chart stand and thus would free up some space in my classroom. \r\n\r\nI made this my first Donors Choose Project and just crossed my fingers it would be funded. I was touched when it was funded a few months later from donors coast to coast. I kept my students up to take and they were so excited every time a donation come in. \r\n\r\nWhen the giant box arrived and was left in my room, my students wanted to help put it together. I let them unpack the pieces, but then I put it together later that day. They did enjoy crawling into the box. I wish I had taken photos. \r\n\r\nOne of the first projects we did was a math activity using the chart paper. The students predicted how many octopuses tall they were. The chart is at eye level, so the students could record their predictions and then record their answer. They also enjoyed writing their name when they could read the words of the day. \r\n\r\nI am so thankful for the generosity of all the donors. I was especially emotional when I learned that some of these donors were my grown up kinderbabies. My students and I are so grateful for this versatile easel. From our hearts to yours we send you our love and best wishes.","fullyFundedDate":1739985198802,"projectUrl":"project/bring-interactive-learning-to-life-in-ou/8957008/","projectTitle":"Bring Interactive Learning to Life in Our Kindergarten","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Golembiewski","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1050117_orig.jpg?crop=768,768,x64,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1732152553293","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1050117"},{"teacherId":117410,"projectId":9177635,"letterContent":"I can't express enough my appreciation for the math counters, playdoh, kinetic sand, fluff and math center manipulatives you have provided our Transitional Kindergarten class.
