My students were so excited when they first saw our new Cricut and could not wait to see what it could do. One of our first projects was designing and creating personalized bookmarks. Students chose colors, shapes, and words that represented their interests and love of reading, and then watched as the Cricut Joy brought their ideas to life. They were amazed to see their designs being cut and were so proud to use a bookmark they had helped create themselves. This project was a wonderful way to encourage creativity while also getting students excited about reading and taking care of their books.\r\n\r\nWe are looking forward to using our Cricut Joy throughout the year to support our first-grade learning. As we continue our reading lessons, students will create more bookmarks connected to the stories and characters we are learning about. We will also use the Cricut to make labels and decorations for our classroom library, helping students take ownership of our reading space. The next step is for students to use what they have learned about designing and creating to make their own unique projects. Your generous support has given my students an exciting opportunity to explore technology, make creative choices, and build confidence while learning.
