The kids use the equipment at least two times a week. They assist in setting up the portable badminton nets in the multi-purpose room. After that, it's all play. They know how to serve correctly now and some of them could smash and hit some drop shots more effectively. A few students even asked me to play with them. Their confidence and level of play have really gone up.\r\n\r\nWhat are the next steps? The students are responding really well with our training. Time to get more new rackets. They also learned how to share and take turns using those materials. \r\n\r\nThe trampoline allowed them to regulate themselves when there are behaviors they could not understand nor explain; it also served as reward time for good works.\r\n\r\nThe magnetize pencil holders help them be organized , put away what they don't use and where to get it from when they need markers, pencils or pens. \r\n\r\nThe assorted fruit snacks inspire them to finish worksheets and receive some small snacks for little sugar upper especially at noon. \r\n\r\nThe small and colored dividers and little cushions helped them relaxed and feel at peace especially during test taking steps or after recess and lunch when they feel hyped after playing from the outside. My 6th grade students are absolutely thrilled with the new resources! They have been using the equipment during our physical education lessons, and it's made a huge difference in both engagement and skill development. One of the standout moments so far was when we used the new volleyballs to practice coordination and teamwork. The students were so excited to try new activities, and it was amazing to see their teamwork and enthusiasm shine through. Their energy and motivation have increased, and it's been a joy to witness.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new equipment, their faces lit up with surprise and joy! They were so eager to dive in and start using everything. It's clear that these materials have made a significant impact on their excitement for learning and physical activity. As we continue with our current unit on fitness and wellness, the next steps will involve using the equipment to create team challenges and fitness routines that encourage collaboration and creativity. Your donation has truly inspired my students, and we can't wait to show you the results of all their hard work and growth.","fullyFundedDate":1727984009234,"projectUrl":"project/pe-equipment/8842360/","projectTitle":"PE Equipment","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Gomez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9784960"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_7839","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":500,"numTeachers":24,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":13,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":82,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"20.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":81.4,"schoolId":7839,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Centinela Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Centinela Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/inglewood-unified-school-district/centinela-elementary-school/7839"}
