This year our classroom is full of active and energized students who greatly benefit from the flexible seating and other materials presented to them other than the regular chair at their desks. The materials provided to our class also help fill up our fidget bin which is another resource for my students to use when needed to regain focus and attention during class and learning time. \r\n\r\nThis past week we have received the large and soft bean bags and my students went wild!!!! Not only have they never felt a soft bean bag like ours they were shocked to find they were not beans that pop inside but the memory foam material and they felt so special and grateful. We are still coming up with a system so all students can use and rotate turns using these wonderful and SUPER useful materials. \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you from the top to bottom of our hearts for these amazing materials for our classroom!!!!!","fullyFundedDate":1759693636973,"projectUrl":"project/learning-with-movement-and-sensory-tools/9636400/","projectTitle":"Learning With Movement and Sensory Tools","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Reyna","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8916290_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x13,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758778636564","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8916290"},{"teacherId":3686319,"projectId":2305649,"letterContent":"A Long-Overdue Thank You from Our Classroom\r\nTo our generous donors,\r\n\r\nI am writing this with a heart full of gratitude, even as I offer my sincerest apologies for the length of time it has taken to formally reach out and say thank you. While 2016 feels like a lifetime ago, the impact of your generosity is still felt every single day in my classroom.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, our classroom library has been completely transformed. What started as a goal to increase our literacy resources has grown into a cornerstone of my teaching environment. We now have four full bookshelves packed with diverse, engaging stories.\r\n\r\nThe Impact of Your Gift\r\nYour donation did more than just buy paper and ink; it provided \"windows and mirrors\" for my students—windows into other worlds and mirrors in which they can see their own lives reflected.\r\n\r\nThe 2016 Class: These students were the first to dive into these new titles, and the excitement in the room when the boxes arrived is a memory I still cherish.\r\n\r\nThe Years Following: Since then, hundreds of students have pulled these very books off the shelves to discover new perspectives and build their reading stamina.\r\n\r\nThe Future: These books are durable, beloved, and will continue to serve as a vital resource for the many students who will walk through my door in the years to come.\r\n\r\nPlease know that your investment has paid dividends in the lives of my students for nearly a decade. Thank you for believing in us and for providing such a rich literary foundation for my current and future students.","fullyFundedDate":1480447703889,"projectUrl":"project/cant-stop-the-reading-so-lets-read-r/2305649/","projectTitle":"Can't stop the Reading, So Let's Read, Read, Read!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Barnes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3686319_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1478021328647","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/rbarnes"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_40612","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":745,"numTeachers":43,"percentFrplEligible":87,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":98,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"17.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":89.8,"schoolId":40612,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Art Haycox Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Art Haycox Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/hueneme-elementary-school-district/art-haycox-elementary-school/40612"}
