These new books allow us to focus on comprehension strategies such as making predictions, identifying themes, and analyzing characters, all while strengthening vocabulary in Spanish. Students are also learning how to express their thoughts through writing by responding to the text in their journals with creativity and purpose.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is an interactive and engaging experience. We read together, discuss ideas as a group, and make connections between the story and our own lives. Students turn and talk, share opinions, and build confidence using both languages. The story's themes of technology, nature, and kindness spark meaningful conversations that students are excited to be part of.\r\n\r\nMany of my students are especially enjoying having their own copy of the book. This sense of ownership has increased their motivation and excitement to read. Some students who were previously hesitant readers are now eager to participate, discuss chapters, and share their ideas. The journals have also given them a space to express themselves more freely, helping them grow as writers.\r\n\r\nMy goal is to make reading a shared adventure, not just an assignment.
