From the very first day the eggs arrived, the classroom was filled with excitement, questions, and constant curiosity. Students would rush in every afternoon asking if anything had changed yet. They carefully watched the eggs, learned about the incubation process, and counted down the days together. When the first chick finally started hatching, the room went completely silent as everyone gathered around the incubator watching in amazement. The excitement, smiles, and cheering that followed are moments our students will never forget.\r\n\r\nThese resources allowed our students to experience learning in a real and meaningful way. Instead of only reading about life cycles in a book, they were able to see it happen right in front of them. Students took turns helping care for the chicks, observing their behaviors, and asking thoughtful questions about how they grow and survive. The project also helped build patience, responsibility, kindness, and teamwork. Some of our quieter students became the most engaged during this project, proudly sharing observations and helping their classmates learn alongside them.\r\n\r\nEven now, the excitement has not slowed down. Students are continuing to write about the chicks, create artwork, and talk about what they learned with their families. Many students told us this was their favorite project of the year because it made them feel like real scientists. Watching our students connect with living animals in such a caring and respectful way has been incredibly special. Thank you for making this experience possible and for helping create memories our students will carry with them for a very long time.","fullyFundedDate":1772136118615,"projectUrl":"project/from-egg-to-chick-exploring-the-chicken/10039566/","projectTitle":"From Egg to Chick: Exploring the Chicken Life Cycle","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Nancy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10411945_orig.png?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1778124528021","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10411945"},{"teacherId":6871273,"projectId":5438086,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for bringing these books into the classroom.
