These are the kinds of basic items teachers constantly try to stretch and make last. Opening that box and knowing we had what we needed to keep our classroom clean and healthy meant more than I can put into words.\r\n\r\nMy students were genuinely excited. When they saw the masks and classroom disinfectant materials, they immediately started talking about where we should keep everything so it would be easy to use. One student suggested putting disinfectant right by the door so no one would forget. They take pride in our classroom, and they truly want it to feel safe.\r\n\r\nWe are using these supplies every single day. I clean desks and shared materials regularly, especially after group work and centers. The gloves have been so helpful during messy art projects and classroom jobs. The extra masks have already helped a few students who forgot theirs or needed a fresh one during the day.\r\n\r\nWhat has changed most is the feeling in our room. I feel more prepared and less worried. The students seem more at ease. Instead of focusing on who is sniffling or coughing, we are able to focus on reading groups, math practice, and hands on science activities. We are currently learning about healthy habits and how germs spread, and now we can safely do the experiments and group discussions that make the lesson meaningful.\r\n\r\nYour generosity gave us more than supplies. It gave us comfort, stability, and the ability to focus on what truly matters. Thank you for helping create a classroom where my students can feel safe, cared for, and ready to learn each day.","fullyFundedDate":1763474708371,"projectUrl":"project/protecting-little-learners-together/9808696/","projectTitle":"Protecting Little Learners Together","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. De La Torre","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9146261_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1704869375831","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/dualimmersion"},{"teacherId":9146261,"projectId":9699780,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our project, Seats of Success Building a Flexible Classroom. Because of your generosity, our small group instruction time has been completely transformed in the best way.\r\n\r\nWhen the seating arrived, my students were so excited. They kept asking if the new seats were really for our small group table. Once they realized they would get to use them during reading and math groups, they felt proud and special. It instantly made our intervention space feel more welcoming and important.\r\n\r\nWe use the seating every single day during our small group lessons. I have already noticed a big difference in focus and participation. Students who used to struggle with staying seated are now more comfortable and ready to learn. During a recent guided reading group, one of my students stayed engaged the entire time and eagerly volunteered answers. The comfortable seating helps them focus on building their skills instead of worrying about being uncomfortable.\r\n\r\nRight now, we are working on strengthening reading comprehension skills in small group. Our next step is practicing partner discussions and responding to text using complete sentences. The new seating allows students to sit comfortably while collaborating and sharing their thinking.\r\n\r\nYour support has created a calm and focused space where my students can grow academically and build confidence. Your kindness truly makes a difference every day.","fullyFundedDate":1763474716283,"projectUrl":"project/seats-of-success-building-a-flexible-cl/9699780/","projectTitle":"Seats of Success: Building a Flexible Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. De La Torre","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9146261_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1704869375831","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/dualimmersion"},{"teacherId":9146261,"projectId":9057267,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our \"Colorful Clarity\" project. With your help, our classroom library has been completely transformed. The new colorful binshave brought structure and excitement to our reading space, making it easier than ever for students to find books that interest them and take care of the materials with pride.\r\n\r\nThe moment the students saw the bright and organized shelves, their faces lit up. They immediately began exploring the bins, recommending books to each other, and spending more time reading independently. The color coding has made it simple for them to return books where they belong, and it has also helped them understand how books are grouped by fiction and nonfiction.\r\n\r\nStudents had a reading challenge and the new system played a big part.
