It is the first time that I've felt so comfortable with the seating options in my classroom. The students I serve are in 6th grade at a middle school. They spend most of their day navigating the crowded hallways and classrooms. \r\n When they first saw the colorful stools, cushions, and other options, they couldn't believe they could actually choose what they could sit on for class time. Once they realized that it was up to them, a certain sense of autonomy and fun entered our space. I have 5 periods each day. Different kids use the seating for different purposes.\r\n While one person may use the wobbly chairs for listening to direct instruction another child may use the cushions to do work on the floor with their partner. The colorful stools are a great option for kids who may like the option of pulling up a seat next to a friend to collaborate on a writing assignment.\r\n Thank you for your kind and generous support.
