During small group reading, students are able to work closely with their peers and me as we explore texts together, focusing on comprehension skills and strategies that help them grow as readers. Independent reading allows students to choose books that spark their curiosity and practice building stamina while developing a deeper love for reading. These two approaches balance structure with choice, giving students opportunities to strengthen their skills in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nTo further support comprehension and engagement, we've also introduced book clubs. In these groups, students discuss the stories they are reading, share favorite parts, and talk about characters who stood out to them. This peer interaction encourages them to think critically, make connections, and express their ideas with confidence. Thank you so much for your generous donation—it has truly enriched our classroom library. My students have especially gravitated toward the books featuring dragons, and it has been wonderful to see their excitement and imagination come alive through these stories.","fullyFundedDate":1744219351622,"projectUrl":"project/inspired-to-ignite-minds-one-book-at-a/9127611/","projectTitle":"Inspired to Ignite Minds, One Book at a Time!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Torres","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9928397_orig.png?crop=1024,1024,x286,y106&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1740376191689","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9928397"},{"teacherId":8027890,"projectId":8769152,"letterContent":"From the bottom of our hearts we would like to thank you for making this possible.
