Your generosity provided our classroom with numerous board books and traditional books from the beloved Llama Llama series, along with the opportunity to turn them into a cozy and meaningful reading center for my TK and Kindergarten students.\r\nOur new Llama Llama Reading Center has quickly become a favorite spot in our classroom. Students can independently choose a Llama Llama book and a stuffed llama to cuddle with while they look through their story. For young children who are just beginning their school journey, having a cozy, comforting place to settle in can make such a big difference. Some of my students arrive feeling nervous or unsure, and being able to snuggle a llama and look ghrough a familiar book gives them a sense of comfort and security.\r\nBecause my students are still developing their early literacy skills, they aren't reading the words independently yet. The board books are giving them an important opportunity to learn the foundations of being a reader. They are practicing how to hold a book, turn the pages carefully, look closely at the illustrations, and use pictures to tell their own version of the story. These may seem like simple skills, but they are important first steps toward becoming confident, independent readers. \r\nYour support has vien my student mush more than books. The kids loved the materials to celebrate glowing in second grade! They loved the light up glasses, spinner bracelets, and foam wands. Having the photo backdrop was a fun way to take photos and share with families. I can't wait to do this again next year. I think celebrating our glowing learning is going to be an annual thing. It has made organizing book sets a breeze. They loved all the different options they had for decorating their snowmen. \r\n\r\nWe also read some snowmen books and had snowball fights using books and fake snowballs from past projects. The colors are bright and make a nice display in our classroom! The double sided tape is great too! We use it to mount our work on construction paper. It always looks so nice when we have our work matted.
