Holes is a novel that combines both. Holes offers class conversations about themes such as resilience and standing up for what is right, something maybe all of us could use during these trying times. \r\n\r\nWe are reading the novel as a class to foster better discussions. I feel the novel is reaching my more reluctant readers as well. For some of my students, this is the first novel they have ever read.
