Your donations of laundry detergent, storage bins, pens, stamps, and iPad chargers have made a meaningful difference in keeping our program organized, prepared, and ready for learning. The storage bins help us keep costumes and dance supplies organized, while the laundry detergent allows us to properly care for costumes and other materials used by our students. Even everyday items such as pens and stamps help our program run more smoothly and allow us to focus more of our time and energy on our students.\r\n\r\nOur students have been especially excited about having reliable iPad chargers available in the classroom. Our iPads are an important part of dance education because students use them to record choreography, review performances, study technique, access music, and watch themselves dance so they can reflect on their movement and make improvements. Having working chargers means our technology is ready when students need it instead of learning being interrupted by a dead battery. Students particularly enjoy recording and reviewing their choreography because they can immediately see their progress, identify areas to improve, and celebrate how much they have grown.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped create a dance environment where students have the tools they need to be creative, responsible, and confident performers. It has been wonderful to see students become more independent in using technology to practice and refine their work, especially those who learn best when they can see themselves perform and make adjustments. It is rare to have the arts be prioritized in a public school setting so it is with the kind hearts of donors like yourself that we are able to thrive and continue. We have our upcoming winter recital in December and so these resources will be used during practice (the kneepads) to help preserve the health of our young dancers. And the gloves will be used in two different dance performances, as we take on our Lady Gaga theme'd jazz dances. \r\n\r\nMy dance team specifically were extra excited for the kneepads because they do the most floor work, even performing often on concrete surfaces as our new MPR gets built. The kneepads make the floor work so much more manageable and helps to prevent bruising!\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping us prepare for our winter show with resources that will continue to help hundreds of dancers.
