My students and I are utilizing them daily in our ELA lessons and during our brain breaks. Some of their favorite items include the juggling scarves and the hot potato game, which have become fantastic incentives. I've noticed that a few students who need a little extra joy in their day have been lighting up with smiles thanks to the hot potato game.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first encountered the materials, their excitement was palpable. They eagerly began using the instruments and creating their own rhymes. They are truly thankful for your thoughtful support in providing such engaging materials for their learning.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to focus on developing motor skills during our brain breaks. The students will start juggling with partners, which will help them build trust and collaboration. Additionally, they will begin crafting their own musical stories to present to the class.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your generosity and support!","fullyFundedDate":1752586363082,"projectUrl":"project/dance-march-sing-and-wiggle-around-th/9442824/","projectTitle":"Dance, March, Sing, and Wiggle Around the Room","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sanchez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8298555_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1665694569690","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8298555"},{"teacherId":6713326,"projectId":8647033,"letterContent":"Thank you for all supporting my class. Students feel welcomed and are eager to share and listen.\r\n It is not uncommon to see groups of students reading silently or with partners at the end of the day. We appreciate your support and take the time to help my classroom. Students are building positive memories. Being a Resource Specialist Teacher, I am always looking for ways to make lessons memorable. \r\nThe students are enjoying making bracelets to promote friendships. Students come in from their classrooms and think of quotes to put together and share. My current students have been inviting others into our classroom and sharing what we are doing, and what the beads represent. \r\nWhen students first seen the beads and supplies, they were excited and already had ideas of what they would be used for, which was spreading kind words to promote friendship. We appreciate your support and take the time to help my classroom and make it inviting for students. Being a resource specialist teacher, I am always looking for ways to make the room more inviting for students. This way they want to engage in learning. My students truly benefit from the resources. \r\nThe students are enjoying the bean-bag chairs and bookshelves. Students come in from their classrooms and find a relaxing spot to engage in reading lessons. Students use the bean bag chair to sit as they silently read, pair read or host a small group reading. Recently we have been using bean bag chairs for paired reading. The students who came into class wanted to sit and begin reading with a partner. Before there was a bit of a pullback but now students are excited. It has really had an impact on participation with students who in the past did not want to participate. The bookshelf has been a perfect asset to the reading nook. \r\nWhen students first seen the bean bag chairs and bookshelves, they were excited and making plans how they were going to use them. Students took the initiative of unpacking and setting them up. As soon as they were set up, they began relaxing with their favorite book. \r\nSome other ways the classroom plans on using the bean bag chair is to incorporate them into the social emotional part of the classroom. When the bean bag chairs are not being used for reading groups they are being used to support students that just need a break or a relaxing place to self-calm.","fullyFundedDate":1731940450697,"projectUrl":"project/the-literacy-loft/8840614/","projectTitle":"The Literacy Loft","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sanchez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8298555_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1665694569690","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8298555"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_77789","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":662,"numTeachers":25,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":93,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"26.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":84.4,"schoolId":77789,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Winchell Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Winchell Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/fresno-unified-school-district/winchell-elementary-school/77789"}
