The students and I deeply appreciated your support. Many of my students are low-income. Several families cannot afford additional technology beyond the school's computers. The school computers cannot download or have limited access to low-quality drawing programs. The drawing tablets opened up the possibility for students to create art in a fun, functional setting.\r\n\r\nMy students have been loving the ability to check out drawing tablets for a few days at a time. The drawing tablets came with a drawing stylus and had a high-quality drawing program available to download for free. The stylus worked smoothly with the operating system. Then the students were able to quickly upload their art to the school's digital storage. This made a huge difference for some of the students who were stuck with drawing with a mouse. \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you very much. This was a great opportunity for the students to experience art in a whole new way. It was wonderful to see kids frustrated with doing art digitally all of sudden realize how the right equipment makes it so much easier. Coloring notes has been a big hit in my class. It is amazing what color does for note taking. The kids noticed how the color helps math make more understandable.\r\n\r\nFor example, math makes more sense when I color numbers to show where certain numbers came from. Plus, side notes and solving problem steps stand out more with color. My kids are so happy to have the attention of a high schooler and to be painting with them. \r\n\r\nSo far my kids have learned the color wheel, mixing colors, and how to make a painting that shows smaller images in the background and larger ones up front to give the painting more of a 3D effect.\r\n\r\nI am so pleased with this project.
