This exciting addition has allowed our students to practice letter and name writing in a way that is much more age-appropriate and engaging than traditional pencil-and-paper tasks. Writing in foam paint encourages creativity while strengthening fine motor skills and building confidence in early literacy.\r\n\r\nLastly, with the addition of materials to create a loose parts center, students are now given a wide variety of materials that inspire them to use their imagination and create whatever their little hearts desire. Kindergarten is a time for building foundations in all subjects. As my students used hands-on materials like these, they learnt important things about science that they wouldn't from reading a book or completing a worksheet.and given my students opportunities that they do not have outside of the classroom. The addition of these items has increased engagement as well as the students interest in learning.
