My students were thrilled when we received the boxes! They helped me open all the boxes, as I explained that the materials were donated to us. My students and I have had such a wonderful time this year using the wiggly eyes, tissue squares, punch-out shapes, acrylic pens, and felt board shapes. We have used them in some of our play centers and in art projects. I have also used the acrylic markers to make our seasonal tree bulletin board pop-out by drawing snowflakes for winter or leaves for autumn. Both the students and other staff have loved looking at the display. We have used the punch-out shapes in a variety of projects. During our unit on shapes in math, my students created a vehicle of their choice using circles, squares, rectangles, triangles, and ovals. They really used their creativity, making rockets, trains, boats, cars, and trucks. The students have also loved using the felt shapes in the library center. I have seen them make trees, houses, people, and so many other things out of the shapes using their imaginations. Thank you so much for all you have done for my students!
