Because of your kindness, my Transitional Kindergarten classroom is now filled with beautiful new books that are already making a tremendous difference in our students' learning. For many of my young learners, this is their very first classroom experience. Having access to engaging, age-appropriate books helps them build early literacy skills, develop a love of stories, and feel excited about learning each day. The moment the books arrived, my students' eyes lit up—they couldn't wait to explore the pictures, talk about the characters, and choose their new favorites to read during our literacy centers and quiet reading time.\r\n\r\nThese books are doing more than teaching students how to like books—they are helping them discover who they are as learners, but foster curiosity. You have given them access to stories that spark imagination, encourage kindness, and open the door to a lifelong love of reading. Your support means the world to our classroom. Thank you for believing in early learners, for investing in their future, and for making our classroom a place where students feel inspired every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1759511986082,"projectUrl":"project/books-for-tk-classroom/9776174/","projectTitle":"Books for TK Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Douglas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10215504"},{"teacherId":9224254,"projectId":9091305,"letterContent":"My students were so excited when they saw that we had these new comfy floor seats. Some of them had used them before in previous grades and some of them had never seen them before. I like to give them lots of opportunities throughout the day to move around and sit in different places besides their own desk. We have lots of floor space with some carpets, but nothing with back support, so we have just been loving having these seats. They're easy to move around the room and are very sturdy. It has been a total game changer for independent reading time on the carpet which we do every day during reading centers. \r\n\r\nThank you SO much for donating these chairs. This year we are piloting our inclusion program folding in more students who receive special education services into our general ed classroom. The additional whiteboard has helped already facilitate additional small groups within our classroom space. The dual purpose of a whiteboard and a clipboard has come in handy while we are flexibly working in groups and partners around the classroom. \r\n While the beginning of this inclusion process seemed daunting previously. Having these tools at my students fingertips helped the inclusion process take place so smoothly no one noticed or make mention of the fact that we have co-teachers teaching within our classroom because we had a designated whiteboard/space for that group.
