Last year, with your help, we were able to directly assist over 36 students (with overflow assistance to as many as 84) with the type of supplies students need to be prepared and organized, hopeful and confident.\r\n Sometimes people take for granted that schools supply students adequately, however, in schools where parents provide the supplies, that is at a cost of about $75 per student. A teacher's district budget is about $5.25 per student. That makes for a HUGE difference of materials, so your contributions are so valuable to closing that gap.\r\n Your generosity levels the playing field, eliminates the interruptions while students try to borrow what they need, and - above all - makes those who are without feel equal and included, allowing them to focus on the learning rather than the yearning. Your donation is very much appreciated.","fullyFundedDate":1731940493017,"projectUrl":"project/binders-and-backpacks-oh-my/8668259/","projectTitle":"Binders and Backpacks, Oh My!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Pariseau","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1626114_orig.jpg?crop=272,272,x0,y15&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1558811087205","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kpariseau"},{"teacherId":1626114,"projectId":8978365,"letterContent":"I apologize for the delay. During the spring last year, I was enrolled in FT classes, but I absolutely need to tell you how incredible the materials you provided have been, end of last year and all of this year. I was studying Executive Function Deficit, something approximately 60% of today's students suffer from due to Covid having had a huge, traumatic impact on them (depending on how old they were at the time of Covid, and world wide). Backlash of Covid's effect on the EF is time management, organization, general working memory, and emotional regulation. The items I had requested donations for turned out to address these needs perfectly, most especially the Yakker Tracker, helping students track high volume emotional outbursts during quiet times in class, and the visual and audible timer, one that helps students manage their time going into activities as well as ending them and transitioning. \r\n The student supplies also go towards organization and social emotional support in that nobody goes without materials. Even this year, I still have students who approach me for one of the leftover backpacks or even just pencil pouches to help hold their flash cards. We keep all of our vocabulary cards and review them in December in order to take the Vocab Slam! Winner gets a paid trip to Palm Springs to ride the gondola with a family member and have some Bill's pizza,so organization is beneficial to trying to win. \r\n Thank you very much!! Your generosity has paid incredible dividends in student preparedness and organization, two very needed focuses in at-risk districts.","fullyFundedDate":1739366801475,"projectUrl":"project/time-management-tools-for-teens/8978365/","projectTitle":"Time Management Tools for Teens","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Pariseau","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1626114_orig.jpg?crop=272,272,x0,y15&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1558811087205","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kpariseau"},{"teacherId":1626114,"projectId":8667834,"letterContent":"In 30 years of teaching 8th grade, I have never seen my students more aware of school supplies as resources or tools, nor have I seen a greater need across society for all things learning since we isolated for nearly to years as we have experienced this year.\r\n\r\nI have been able to meet the needs of my students with a generous supply of materials placed in their hands for them to KEEP and use time after time, and to make sure that they have the right tool for the job every time!
