The Unteachables has transformed reading time into an opportunity for open discussion and connection. Students relate strongly to the characters, and this connection leads to more meaningful conversations about fairness, identity, and overcoming obstacles. \r\n\r\nSeveral students who don't usually enjoy reading have shown a special interest in this book—drawn in by the humor, diverse personalities, and fast-paced chapters. It has helped reluctant readers find their voice in class discussions, while others have started writing their own character sketches or journal entries from different points of view. \r\nThe book's blend of comedy and heart has created a positive, inclusive atmosphere in the classroom and has encouraged students to think differently about themselves and each other.","fullyFundedDate":1744252160789,"projectUrl":"project/unleashing-potential-a-class-once-writt/9236196/","projectTitle":"Unleashing Potential: A Class Once Written Off","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Moss","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2036275"},{"teacherId":9774948,"projectId":8815567,"letterContent":"I cannot thank you enough for helping to support my students with autism and provide them the opportunity to learn in the classroom setting. By providing us with a swing, trampoline, peanut ball, and sensory fidgets for our classroom, I can now have students take a sensory break, get their wiggles out, and then return to their classroom routine to complete their schoolwork. This has made a huge difference in my student's ability to get their sensory needs met so that they can focus. \r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the equipment, they could not wait to get their hands on it and use it. They use the equipment and items daily and it's so great to see them use the sensory break area to help them regulate. \r\n\r\nCurrently, my students are learning how to tell time to the nearest hour and half-hour, and I believe that they are comprehending the instruction better during our small group rotations because they take a sensory break when they are feeling frustrated or anxious with their schoolwork and then return ready to work after using the equipment.","fullyFundedDate":1729220322629,"projectUrl":"project/room-7s-new-sensory-break-area/8815567/","projectTitle":"Room 7’s New Sensory Break Area","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. John","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9774948"},{"teacherId":8563017,"projectId":8320086,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to my Kindergarten classroom.
