Your donation has had an immediate and meaningful impact on our students' musical growth. With the addition of drum pads, students are able to strengthen their rhythmic reading skills through consistent, hands-on practice. These tools allow us to focus on precision, timing, and ensemble awareness—core fundamentals that are essential to every successful percussionist.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the use of drum pads has significantly helped us maintain a quieter and more focused learning environment in the band room. By reducing overall decibel levels, students can rehearse more frequently and for longer periods of time without sacrificing instructional quality. Most importantly, these pads ensure that every student has the opportunity to play at the same time; without them, space and volume limitations would prevent full participation during class.\r\n\r\nYour support is also helping us grow and strengthen our percussion section within the El Dorado High School Marching Band. By providing equitable access to quality equipment, you are directly contributing to student confidence, engagement, and long-term program growth. We are truly grateful for your investment in our students and for helping make these musical opportunities possible.","fullyFundedDate":1760693800759,"projectUrl":"project/percussion-class/9525819/","projectTitle":"Percussion Class","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Collins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7990368"},{"teacherId":1896126,"projectId":9220366,"letterContent":"My students were so excited to receive their sketchbooks. We immediately started decorating the covers and using them on a daily basis. The students utilize the sketchbooks to plan drawings, sketch ideas, and free draw.\r\nThe original sketchbooks we ordered were no longer available so we had to pivot to a different type. My advanced kids loved them better than the previous ones I've ordered over the years. They have more pages to work with and the cover material is easier to decorate.\r\nWe will continue to use these sketchbooks everyday in class so students can keep their sketches and notes organized. They also love taking them out when they have time to free draw.\r\nWe greatly appreciate the donations that allowed us to purchase these sketchbooks. It also saved me hundreds of dollars out of my budget.","fullyFundedDate":1746476565070,"projectUrl":"project/sketchbooks-for-art-classes/9220366/","projectTitle":"Sketchbooks for Art Classes","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bourque","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1896126_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1491602093410","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1896126"},{"teacherId":1896126,"projectId":8731759,"letterContent":"My Yearbook staff was incredibly surprised when the grant received funding. This camera has been and will continue to be a game changer for us. The quality of the photos is impressive. \r\nMy photographers are particularly fond of the camera and have been working on using it and learning the ins and outs. It's exciting to see the students so eager to take photos and test out the features on the camera. \r\nSince receiving the camera we've photographed many events and sports and the improvement in quality is fantastic. The touch screen is a great feature and so helpful on the fly when we are switching between the options.\r\nThe best part is we can use some of our other cannon lenses with the new camera and \r\nWe also are grateful for having more Lens caps, memory cards, and card readers. That alone has made our production work so much easier. We are always scrambling to find memory cards and now we are stocked up and ready to go.\r\nThis camera and accessories will continue to provide us with great photos for years to come and myself and my yearbook staff are very thankful.","fullyFundedDate":1735699000913,"projectUrl":"project/seeing-the-world-through-a-new-lens/8731759/","projectTitle":"Seeing the World Through a New \"Lens\"","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bourque","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1896126_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1491602093410","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1896126"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_76753","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1195,"numTeachers":53,"percentFrplEligible":51,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":61,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":26,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"22.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":63.8,"schoolId":76753,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about El Dorado High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"El Dorado High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/el-dorado-union-high-school-district/el-dorado-high-school/76753"}
