Now, thanks to you, they are surrounded by engaging, appropriately leveled books that they are excited—and able—to read independently.\r\n\r\nThe impact has been immediate and meaningful. Students eagerly browse the shelves, recognizing titles they helped choose and feeling a sense of ownership over their reading. The new resources have brought learning to life in ways that are meaningful, hands-on, and joyful for my first graders.\r\nWe are using the materials daily during small group instruction and independent practice. One special moment that stood out was during our literacy centers — students eagerly gathered around the new materials, whispering, \"Is this for us?!\" Their eyes lit up with excitement. What used to feel like practice now feels like discovery. Students are more engaged, more confident, and more willing to take risks in their learning.\r\nWhen they first saw the materials, there were gasps and huge smiles. Several students immediately asked if they could start using them right away! That enthusiasm carried into our lesson, where I saw students collaborating, problem-solving, and proudly sharing their thinking with classmates.\r\nBecause of you, my students are building stronger skills while also building a love for learning. Our next steps include applying these skills in a larger classroom project where students will use what they've practiced to create, present, and reflect on their learning.
