I feel like our classroom is now complete. I don't know who was more excited to get the play kitchen - the students or me. I wish that I had captured their faces the first time they saw it. I don't think a huge pile of sweets would have gotten a bigger reaction!\r\n\r\nThe kitchen has brought a new level of joy and excitement to our free choice time and they wait for this time with great anticipation. The kitchen fosters their imagination in such a simple and beautiful way. My favorite moment so far was when they created a Thanksgiving meal for each other and the stuffed animals who inhabit our classroom. One of my students exclaimed, \"Look at our feast!\". It was a precious moment.\r\n\r\nAn unexpected outcome of the kitchen is that it's helping the children develop their organizational skills. They are so proud of their kitchen and they want to keep it in tip-top shape. As a result, they are extremely responsible and meticulous about putting everything away neatly and properly.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting educators like me with your kind hearts and generous donations.","fullyFundedDate":1761867409734,"projectUrl":"project/play-is-a-childs-work/9512306/","projectTitle":"Play is a Child's Work","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Breuckman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5299199"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_4740","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":604,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":13,"percentAsian":90,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":0,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"22.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":91.5,"schoolId":4740,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about William Faria School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"William Faria School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/cupertino-union-school-district/william-faria-school/4740"}
