They are going to help us transform our outdoor space into a more welcoming, inviting place for our students to play, explore, and learn. We are excited to use the new gardening tools and supplies with the help of our students' families to add plants, flowers, and other natural elements to our outdoor play area.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the gardening materials, they were excited and curious about what we would be able to create together. They immediately began talking about planting, digging, watering, and taking care of the space. It was wonderful to see their excitement about being able to help make their outdoor environment more beautiful and enjoyable.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to work alongside our parents and students to prepare the outdoor area, plant flowers and other greenery, and create a space that feels warm, colorful, and inviting. Students will have opportunities to help with planting and caring for the plants while learning about responsibility, nature, and how things grow. We hope this project will become an ongoing part of our classroom, giving students a special outdoor space where they can play, explore, and connect with nature. They have been so excited to come each day and explore the new materials as they arrive. \r\n\r\nThe rocking chair and spinning chair have been huge hits! They provide students with vestibular input that they have not otherwise been able to experience. They have also found ways to take turns using a sand timer and rotating between the chairs and line so that everyone gets a turn. \r\n\r\nThe giant bouncy balls have been an absolute joy to watch. They are nearly as large as the kids, and they have had much fun chasing the ball around the yard and rolling overtop it. The frisbees have also been a new experience and is still a work in progress. Students are learning how to coordinate their movements to throw the frisbee to one another but mostly just chasing it down after it goes the wrong direction.\r\n\r\nThe street signs have added so much fun to their bike track. They have been setting up construction zones, crosswalks, and car accidents using the signs. Thanks to your generosity, that vision is now a reality.\r\nOur updated iPad has allowed me to document the joy of learning in action. I use it daily to take photos and videos of students collaborating, problem-solving, and proudly sharing their work. These meaningful moments are uploaded to Seesaw so families can see firsthand how much their children are growing and shining.\r\nThe iPad has also become an essential teaching tool. I use it to model how students can use Seesaw on their own devices, helping them build confidence and independence with technology.
