Because of you, my first-grade grade students are learning how plants have different parts that help them survive through hands-on experiences. Our garden is a perfect fit for our school in Corona, CA, where the warm, dry climate allows succulents to thrive with minimal water and care. Students are using the garden as an outdoor classroom to understand how these unique plants store water to survive.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the succulents, they were excited by the variety of plants. They enjoyed planting them together and working as a team to create a beautiful space on campus. Caring for the garden has helped students practice responsibility while also providing a calming, peaceful place where they can observe nature and feel proud of their work. Some have even offered to take care of the garden at recess time.\r\n\r\nAlong with the garden, students are using the donated books to learn how to care for different plants and to read about a young boy who gardens to help his family. These stories help students make meaningful connections between what they read and what they experience in real life. Thanks to your support, our students are gaining a deeper appreciation for nature, teamwork, and the importance of caring for living things. We are so grateful for the impact you've made on our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1760447431041,"projectUrl":"project/sprouting-minds-with-a-succulent-garden/9448859/","projectTitle":"Sprouting Minds with a Succulent Garden Space","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rodriguez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9581710_orig.jpg?crop=1636,1636,x214,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1719953359916","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9581710"},{"teacherId":9581710,"projectId":8965014,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support.
