We are immensely proud of our 2025 graduates who have been accepted to and committed to attending two-year and four-year colleges and universities. Notably, approximately 90% of the Class of 2025 were accepted to four-year and two-year institutions. The majority of our seniors are low-income and first-generation college-bound students, meaning they are the first in their families to access and attend college. For these students, attending college is not only an incredible accomplishment but also a life-altering opportunity. Decision Day was a significant occasion to honor their hard work and determination in pursuing higher education! \r\n\r\nYour donations resulted in wonderful college-preparatory gifts for our seniors. These gifts included an iPad, a speaker, and headphones. I am happy to share that these gifts were raffled to three hardworking first-generation seniors. The iPad was awarded to Marco Flores, who is currently pursuing a BA in Business at California State University Los Angeles. Adrian Ortega is enjoying the speaker at the University of California Irvine, where he is pursuing a BA in English. Lastly, Briceyda Lopez-Cisneros was awarded the headphones and is now obtaining her AS in Cosmetology at Compton College. By providing these gifts, we hope to give these students a strong start as they embark on their college journeys and educational pursuits.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of Compton High's College Center, I sincerely thank you again for your generosity in uplifting the Class of 2025 and for fostering Compton High's college-going culture.","fullyFundedDate":1746914760396,"projectUrl":"project/compton-high-decision-day-celebration/9122062/","projectTitle":"Compton High - Decision Day Celebration 2025!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Morales","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9927657_orig.jpg?crop=2208,2208,x0,y161&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1744915226740","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9927657"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_7712","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1297,"numTeachers":79,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":13,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":85,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"16.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":76.6,"schoolId":7712,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Compton High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Compton High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/compton-unified-school-district/compton-high-school/7712"}
