I teach Independent Study so I am always looking for fun ways to teach different concepts. That day, I had a couple students that I could tell were not having a great day when they entered my classroom, and when I mentioned the project, their demeanor changed instantly, and I could tell they were genuinely happy that we were going to do it, as I had mentioned it to them previously. \r\n\r\nThey enjoyed the project, eager to take pictures, and one student specifically mentioned that he was looking forward to taking his project home to show his parents. The positive results of this project, both in student learning and positive demeanor, have spurred me on to do MANY more hands on projects (some of my students are online and don't get this opportunity very often), so I will probably be asking for more donations in the future. 😉\r\n\r\nI often spend my own money for projects such as this, and your organization has made both my students and I feel very much appreciated and valued.
