Our new ability (thanks to you!) to provide protein bars in the morning has had a visible impact on the energy levels in the classroom. Students come into the classroom first thing in the morning and ask for a snack instead of putting their head down on their desk. \r\n\r\nWe received snacks like beef jerky, crackers, nuts and pretzels from your generous donations. Those snacks have served as brain-food for our students to be able to extend their learning abilities into the whole school day. Other snacks we received included some chips and candies that we utilized as 'special snacks' that students would receive if they put an effort into being responsible, safe, and respectful throughout the day. \r\n\r\nAs we are a day-school, students are not allowed to bring food on to campus or a bagged lunch. Having filling snacks in our classroom has given the opportunity to those students who have dietary restrictions, the ability to get something filling in their stomachs for that long second-half-of-the-day stretch. Your contributions to our campus have been truly invaluable.
