We use it every day for morning meetings, story time, music and movement, and small group lessons. One of my favorite moments was during our recent read-aloud when all of my students eagerly found their spots, sitting crisscross and fully engaged as we acted out parts of the story together. The rug has created a clear, comfortable gathering space where my students feel a sense of belonging and community, making it easier for them to focus, participate, and learn from one another.\r\nWhen the rug was first revealed, their reactions were pure joy—big smiles, excited chatter, and lots of \"Wow!\" They couldn't wait to sit on it, touch it, and find their own special spot. For many of my students, having a defined and cozy space helps them feel safe and ready to learn, and I immediately noticed how much more smoothly our transitions and group activities began to run.\r\nAs we move forward, we're using our rug as the foundation for building important early learning skills like listening, turn-taking, and collaborative discussions. In our current unit, students are sharing ideas, asking questions, and practicing speaking in front of their peers during circle time. This rug is more than just a classroom item—it's a space where confidence is growing, friendships are forming, and meaningful learning is happening every single day.
