The new board games and science lab goggles have brought so much joy and energy to our classroom. Whenever students have free time, they eagerly gather around the games, creating moments of healthy competition, laughter, and collaboration. It has been wonderful to see them strategizing, problem-solving, and building stronger connections with one another. The games have also provided well-deserved brain breaks that keep students refreshed and engaged during our rigorous science lessons.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the games, the goggles have been an essential part of our hands-on science labs. From conducting chemistry experiments to exploring the properties of different substances, students have safely and enthusiastically participated in activities that bring scientific concepts to life. The excitement on their faces as they gear up for an experiment is truly priceless. We look forward to using the goggles for many more labs and experiments throughout the year.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, our classroom has become an even more dynamic and interactive learning environment. Next, we plan to explore more complex experiments that will further deepen students' understanding of scientific principles. The board games will continue to offer students a positive outlet for relaxation and connection. Your support has made a lasting impact, and we are incredibly grateful for your kindness.","fullyFundedDate":1731162320419,"projectUrl":"project/thinking-more-positive-like-a-proton/8922493/","projectTitle":"Thinking More Positive Like a Proton","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mead","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9827551"},{"teacherId":9863235,"projectId":8989623,"letterContent":"Students are utilizing various resources such as bean bags, whiteboards, cabinets, and coloring materials to enhance their learning experience. Bean bags provide comfortable seating, allowing students to relax and engage in group discussions, brainstorming, or independent reading. My students were super excited to see more seating options! The informal setting encourages collaboration and creativity, as students can gather in flexible zones designed for comfort. The whiteboard plays a key role in group activities and interactive lessons, where students can write down ideas, solve problems, or draw diagrams. Whiteboards allow students to engage in quick exercises or work through math problems, fostering active participation in the learning process. \r\n\r\nThe filing cabinet is used to organize educational tools, student folders, and art supplies, making resources easily accessible and helping students stay organized. Coloring materials like crayons, markers, and colored pencils enable creative expression, allowing students to illustrate their understanding of concepts and make their work visually engaging. Additionally, coloring can be a calming activity that helps students focus and relax, offering them a moment of creativity and stress relief. Through the use of these resources, students can create a more dynamic, interactive, and comfortable learning environment that supports both academic growth and personal expression. We appreciate all of it!!","fullyFundedDate":1734183683127,"projectUrl":"project/breaking-barriers-providing-the-tools-f/8989623/","projectTitle":"Breaking Barriers: Providing the Tools for Every Student’s Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sisson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9863235"},{"teacherId":9819056,"projectId":8923202,"letterContent":"My students have enjoyed having the supplies that were generously donated by all of you in the classroom. The miniature Lego sets have been a fun activity for students who finish assessments early and want something independent and non-disruptive to work on, and they have enjoyed coming in at the end of the day to build them as a group when they are finished with school work. The board games have been a big hit in my class that is most similar to a home room. It has been fun to watch the students challenge each other, challenge me, and challenge them in a game I grew up with (Perfection) that most had never played.\r\n\r\nWhen the boxes first arrived with all of the supplies I had many students asking what I had bought, and they seemed genuinely surprised when I would respond that they were a donation from all of you to them. I enjoyed their curiosity about things they were not familiar with, and their excitement to begin to unpackage items to help me get them on the back shelf.\r\n\r\nOne thing I would like to plan to do with the Lego sets is an exercise in communication by having one student direct another on the build steps. We can practice how big of a difference it makes when you can communicate two ways (and both the builder/instruction given can talk) versus just allowing the instruction giver to provide instructions while the builder is unable to clarify.","fullyFundedDate":1730973830720,"projectUrl":"project/decompression-corner-for-mental-health-i/8923202/","projectTitle":"Decompression Corner for Mental Health in Math","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bersig","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9819056"},{"teacherId":9820766,"projectId":8911377,"letterContent":"We all understand the importance of mental health and how that will better help us understand ourselves and help us grow into good friends and neighbors. I am privileged to teach multiple grade levels but that does mean that students are at different levels of understanding themselves and the world around them. \r\nThanks to your generous donations I have students utilizing the toys and tools that we received every dingle day. Of course the fidget toys are most popular with the younger students but the books that we received have already been well loved by the high schoolers. I have lent out several of the novels to students who have a deep interest in the content of how to care for themselves and change their habits. I have also incorporated much of the information in my AP Psychology lectures and in the SEL lessons that are taught on our campus. I have several students that, upon entering their homeroom, will make a beeline for the daily inspirations/reflections and open a discussion with their table on what they think about it. \r\nWhile we always hope to have these levels of connection and understanding there really is nothing better than seeing it firsthand; much like a picture of the moon it is better in person but hopefully you can see a reflection of our appreciation in the photos included.","fullyFundedDate":1730834558357,"projectUrl":"project/mental-health-with-ms-manson/8911377/","projectTitle":"Mental Health with Ms. Manson","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Manson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9820766"},{"teacherId":9822470,"projectId":8913814,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your help in getting the supplies to help my students with the various social-emotional needs. The books have helped me develop more activities and lesson plans for the students I work with and be a resource with my group counseling work. The stickers are being used for emotional check ins on the front covers of my group's workbooks.\r\n\r\nThe bean bag chair is a big hit with the students. I've had several use it as a place to de-stress or a way to re-center themselves when having an emotional crisis. The students have expressed immense gratitude for it being available. They definitely were excited and drawn to it when they first saw it.\r\n\r\nThe next steps will to continue to use the books to help develop further group counseling lessons and to continue to use the bean bag to help provide a grounding place for students who are emotionally dysregulated.
