My school is in the second most diverse district in the nation. We have around 45% of our students using free and reduced lunch program. Before our school opened its doors, students feared and hated school. Our school changed that. Students now like school again. They appreciate feeling safe. We've started the first step to providing equitable education, and the next step would be to give the students the resources they cannot afford. By introducing our students to technology in the classroom, we are ensuring that, by the time they go to college, they will be on the same level as other students from wealthier areas.
