Our Leadership students were absolutely ecstatic when they opened the Breeze 150 Air Cannon for the first time. For many of our students in East San José, opportunities like this are rare, and being trusted with professional-grade event equipment made them feel seen, valued, and empowered.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is that this is not just something they \"use,\" it is something they lead. Students are already brainstorming rally ideas, merchandise launches, spirit competitions, and ways to create unforgettable moments for their peers. They now see themselves as event coordinators, creators, and leaders responsible for building school culture.\r\n\r\nThis project has also created authentic learning opportunities connected to STEM, entrepreneurship, communication, and teamwork. Students discuss safety procedures, launch angles, crowd engagement, logistics, and merchandise planning while preparing for future rallies and events. The carrying case and additional CO₂ cartridges have allowed students to safely organize, transport, and maintain the equipment as part of the learning process.\r\n\r\nOne of the most meaningful parts of this experience has been watching students who are normally quiet or hesitant become fully engaged and excited to participate. Students immediately gathered around the equipment asking questions, offering ideas, and volunteering to help lead future events. He was genuinely excited by the clarity, low light performance, and flexibility the lens provided, especially when switching between wide shots of the court and close ups of players and coaches. All of the photos uploaded from this project were captured from Nathan's point of view, making this a powerful example of student ownership and growth.
