With your donation, I was able to put together 25 hygiene kits which included toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and deodorant in a reusable bag. The school nurse and I teamed up to create a hygiene presentation for the middle school classrooms, which included talking about each of the supplies, what they were used for, and how to properly use them. The middle schoolers were excited to be given these supplies and learn about them. \r\n\r\nIn my handful of years working in education, I have found that teaching proper hygiene practices is an important part of working with all age groups. Not all students are taught these things at home or have access to the necessary hygiene supplies. Learning about proper hygiene practices is so important for students to develop a sense of confidence. With funding changes happening each year it becomes less and less likely that schools can afford to regularly provide these supplies, so your donation is greatly appreciated by both the students and the staff at our schools.","fullyFundedDate":1758636559757,"projectUrl":"project/hygiene-kits-for-middle-schoolers/9674866/","projectTitle":"Hygiene Kits for Middle Schoolers!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hannah","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10237748_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y115&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756839250689","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10237748"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_41001","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":132,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":80,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":68,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":19,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Weighted Average","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":58.8,"schoolId":41001,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Mesa Vista School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Mesa Vista School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/butte-county-office-of-education/mesa-vista-school/41001"}
