The Wild Robot has been especially great for deeper conversations, while the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books give students a fun way to practice comprehension while reading something they really enjoy.\r\n\r\nReading in my classroom looks a little different depending on the day. We do whole-class read-alouds, independent reading, partner reading, and small-group discussions. I really try to give students time to actually enjoy books too, not just complete an assignment about them. I want reading to feel like something they look forward to.\r\n\r\nThe Diary of a Wimpy Kid books have definitely been a favorite, especially with some of my students who usually have a harder time finding books they want to read. It has been so nice seeing them excited to grab a book, talk about what is happening, and recommend different ones in the series to each other. Seeing students who do not always choose reading on their own become excited about a book has been one of my favorite parts. Thank you so much for being a part of their reading journey.","fullyFundedDate":1773878968604,"projectUrl":"project/a-cozy-reading-corner-for-curious-minds/9977284/","projectTitle":"A Cozy Reading Corner for Curious Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Loeza-Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8616212_orig.jpg?crop=517,517,x614,y624&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1664263891086","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8616212"},{"teacherId":8616212,"projectId":9969956,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and my students! They were so excited when they saw all of the new materials, and it was so fun watching them look through everything and talk about what they wanted to use first. Seeing that kind of excitement over learning is always such a great feeling as a teacher.\r\n\r\nWe have already started using the LCD writing tablets, geoboards, Kanoodle games, and building blocks during math, centers, and other hands-on activities. I love being able to give my students different ways to learn, especially because so many of them do their best when they can build, create, move things around, and figure things out for themselves.\r\n\r\nI am truly so thankful for your generosity and for choosing to support our classroom. These materials will be used throughout the entire year and will give my students so many opportunities to be creative, work together, and enjoy learning. It means so much to know that there are people willing to invest in my students and help make our classroom a fun and exciting place to learn.","fullyFundedDate":1776309874782,"projectUrl":"project/construct-create-and-stay-engaged/9969956/","projectTitle":"Construct, Create, and Stay Engaged","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Loeza-Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8616212_orig.jpg?crop=517,517,x614,y624&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1664263891086","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8616212"},{"teacherId":8616212,"projectId":10199346,"letterContent":"This was truly one of the best projects I have ever had funded because it allowed me to give my students an unforgettable last week of school.
