Developing an art program hasn't been easy because I've needed to purchase arts supplies (often with my own money), acquire storage, and set up an art room in a shared space at our school. Proudly, I can say that things are falling into place. While I still have some art supplies on my wishlist and sharing a classroom with the after school program has its challenges, I have acquired a fantastic foundation of paints and drawing materials from which I've had students use to create beautiful art, thanks to you!\r\n Your donation of high quality premium tempera and acrylic paints in addition to art erasers, sharpeners, and block printing ink is helpful. As you may know, high quality art supplies really makes a difference in the final result, and they're more fun to use, too. The colors of the premium tempera paints are vibrant and a joy to blend, and the kindergartners especially love the magenta and turquoise paints. In addition, the 8th graders enjoyed using acrylic paints for the first time while painting their self portraits. \r\n This was my first time receiving a donation and it was heartwarming to feel supported.
