My students have used the iPad to improve their mental health. They have explored the websites of John Wooden and others to learn from videos, motivational quotes, and John Wooden's \"Pyramid of Success\".\r\n\r\nOne student mentioned that she loves the iPad and how easy it is to use. It's a cross between a laptop/desktop and a cell phone. It made it exciting for her to learn the material I was teaching and she was more focused because of it. A lot of these students are continuation students who are behind in credits and the iPad made them more motivated to learn.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your donation and for your generosity to my students. Your contributions have made a profound and lasting impact on our learning environment and have truly transformed the way my students engage with science.\r\n\r\nHow we are using the new resources:\r\n\r\nTactile Toys: These hands-on tools have been a revelation! Students are actively exploring concepts like gravity, magnetism, and density through touch and movement. For example, we recently used the Speks, Fleks, to investigate magnetic fields. Students were fascinated by how the blocks interacted, and their excitement was contagious. This project truly brought abstract scientific concepts to life for our kinesthetic learners.\r\n\r\nWhen the new materials arrived, the students were overjoyed! Their eyes lit up with excitement as they explored the tactile toys, eager to touch, feel, and experiment. The interactive boards captivated their attention, and they were eager to learn and discover. Witnessing their enthusiasm and curiosity ignited a passion for science within them.\r\n\r\nNext Steps:\r\n\r\nWhat I love most about my students is their resilience, eagerness to learn, and the joy they bring into every discovery they make in class. Each student, with their unique learning style, contributes to a dynamic learning environment, continuously teaching me as much as I teach them. Their ability to surprise and innovate when given the tools and encouragement is what drives this project forward.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your belief in my students and your commitment to providing them with the best possible learning experience. Your generosity has made a real difference in their lives.","fullyFundedDate":1730827013462,"projectUrl":"project/mental-health-center-for-high-school-stu/8920530/","projectTitle":"Mental Health Center for High School Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Hunter","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8065628_orig.jpg?crop=1320,1320,x836,y241&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1683215273077","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8065628"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_25231","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1178,"numTeachers":84,"percentFrplEligible":31,"percentAsian":11,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":68,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":50.0,"schoolId":25231,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Beverly Hills High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Beverly Hills High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/beverly-hills-unified-school-district/beverly-hills-high-school/25231"}
