When I first started teaching I had no idea that I could use something as direct and simple as speech to print phonics instruction. There are so many manipulatives and printables that are suggested for teaching phonics, but they seemed to not help students move and develop reading skills quickly. Using EBLI has shown me that all students really need is a whiteboard, marker and an eraser!
