These children are beginning their very first school experiences, and because of your support, they now have a classroom environment that helps them feel safe, cared for, and excited to learn every day.\r\n\r\nMy students were beyond excited when the materials arrived. They immediately wanted to explore the sensory tools, weighted stuffie, snacks, and new classroom supplies. One of my favorite moments was watching students use the pipe cleaners to make bees. We learned all about insects, the pipe cleaners were used to create their very own bee that could pollinate the flowers around the classroom. The craft supplies, pom-poms, pipe cleaners, and adaptive scissors have been used during art projects and fine motor activities that help students strengthen important early learning skills. The tissues, wipes, and cleaning supplies help me maintain a clean, healthy, and welcoming classroom environment for all 25 students. \r\n\r\nThe weighted sensory stuffie has become a comforting classroom favorite for students who need extra support calming down or feeling secure during the school day. It has been amazing to see students begin learning how to self-regulate and confidently communicate their needs.\r\n\r\nThe snacks have also made a huge difference in our classroom. Having Goldfish, applesauce, gummies, and Cheez-Its available helps ensure students stay energized and ready to learn, especially during long school days. \r\n\r\nAs we continue through the year, these materials continue supporting our classroom community academically, socially, and emotionally.
