Every week we add a few more reading passages to practice. The students enjoy reading them as a class, in partners, and independently. We immediately took the parachute out to play with it. Luckily, the weather was great and we had so much fun. We invited out the other first grade class to use it also. They can barely jump to begin with, so adding a sack for them to climb into was the best. They had so much fun and wanted to keep playing. They were getting exercise for sure. Next I plan on having them try to do the sack races with a partner.
