As a Title 1 school, our resources can sometimes be limited, and your donation has sent a powerful message to my students: they are loved, they are valued, and their education matters.\r\n\r\nBefore your gift, our classroom was a bit of a \"squeeze.\" My students were using headphones designed for much smaller children, which often caused physical pain. Now, seeing them put on headphones that actually fit is a joy. This simple change has removed a barrier to their learning and replaced it with comfort.\r\n\r\nThe colorful cushions have completely transformed our classroom atmosphere. There was such a buzz of excitement as each student got to pick their favorite color for their seat or to use while working on the floor. Giving them this small element of choice makes them feel a sense of ownership over their space. They are genuinely excited to come to class each day because it feels like a place built specifically for their needs.\r\n\r\nThe privacy boards have also been a game-changer. They provide a sense of security and focus during independent work and tests, helping students feel confident in their own abilities without the distraction of a busy classroom.\r\n\r\nBeyond the physical items, your kindness has provided my students with a sense of dignity. Knowing that someone chose to invest in their success makes them feel appreciated and important. You haven't just provided supplies; you've helped build a more compassionate and welcoming learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1759277919655,"projectUrl":"project/make-learning-comfortable/9531451/","projectTitle":"Make Learning Comfortable","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kreuz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10095876_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754785493988","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10095876"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_33591","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":516,"numTeachers":23,"percentFrplEligible":70,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":45,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":47,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"22.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":81.7,"schoolId":33591,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about North Shore Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"North Shore Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/bear-valley-unified-school-district/north-shore-elementary-school/33591"}
