When my TK students first saw the new materials, their eyes lit up with excitement. They were eager to explore their new spaces, some went straight to our science center. Others got busy building and playing with our new math manipulatives. They especially love playing with the community play figures. We are slowly introducing to our small groups the phonics cards. All of these resources are helping us build foundational skills while also nurturing a joyful classroom culture.\r\nNext, we'll be diving into our \"Community Helpers\" unit where students will explore the roles of firefighters, doctors, teachers, construction workers, and more. The children will learn about the people who serve our communities and why their jobs are important. Using the new community play figures and building materials, students will create buildings and neighborhoods bringing their learning to life through imaginative and purposeful play.\r\nYour support has brought more than just supplies, it brought opportunity, confidence, and joy.
