Your gift has made a lasting impact on our students—many of whom have never owned or even held a brand-new hardback book before.\r\n\r\nHaving a full class set of high-quality novels has transformed our reading experience. Instead of sharing books, reading photocopies, or working from outdated materials, each student was able to fully immerse themselves in the story with a book of their own. This not only improved their reading fluency and comprehension but also boosted their confidence and engagement. For many of our students, it was the first time they truly saw themselves as readers.\r\n\r\nMore importantly, the sense of pride they felt in using real, durable, beautiful books showed them that their education matters—and that they are worthy of the very best. Your support has elevated our classroom, sparked meaningful discussions, and planted seeds of a lifelong love for reading.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and giving them the tools to grow, dream, and succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1740666722607,"projectUrl":"project/books-that-last-hardback-donations-for/9088904/","projectTitle":"Books That Last: Hardback Donations for Our Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Davis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6883176_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1694149651517","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6883176"},{"teacherId":6883176,"projectId":8997601,"letterContent":"We are incredibly grateful to the generous individual who donated graduation caps to our 6th graders. These caps turned what might have been just another day into a powerful moment of recognition. Our students stood taller, smiled brighter, and felt truly seen.\r\n\r\nThis gift was more than just fabric and thread—it was a symbol of hope, encouragement, and belonging. We have been learning about dividing fractions and focusing on our \"Keep Change Flip\" strategy, and with our new whiteboards we have been literally able to flip our fractions. We received our project materials the day we returned from winter break.\r\nWithin two weeks of receiving the ipad and getting it set up, we got a new student who speaks primarily spanish. Being able to use the iPad to translate and communicate with students was a huge PLUS! \r\n\r\n\r\nMy favorite use of the Ipad to translate has been Monday mornings. We sit in a circle and talk about our weekend and how we are feeling. It has increased participation from non english speaking students. At first we were a little shy using it, but it has helped tremendously as students often struggle to find specific words in English, or sometimes it's just a lot easier to speak in their native language. \r\n\r\nStudents use the ipad when having conversations about the learning, or sometimes just socializing. I use it in small group sessions so that I can check for student understanding and am more able to answer questions.","fullyFundedDate":1731940456116,"projectUrl":"project/tech-enhansed-learning-ipad-for-sel-t/8813945/","projectTitle":"Tech-Enhansed Learning: iPad for Sel & Translation to Empower Students!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Purvis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1844369_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1504147903990","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrpurvis"},{"teacherId":7170122,"projectId":8649943,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous support in funding our Ozobot project for my 2nd-grade class. Your contribution made it possible for my students to engage in an exciting, hands-on learning experience that not only enhanced their understanding of key concepts but also sparked their creativity and enthusiasm for learning. Watching my students collaborate to create intricate tracks and solve challenges with their Ozobots was truly inspiring. They thrived in working together to navigate obstacles and celebrated each success with joy and pride.\r\nOne of the highlights was using the Ozobots to deepen their understanding of place value. The students loved programming their robots to follow tracks and solve math problems in a fun and interactive way. Their excitement was contagious, and it was evident that this innovative approach made a lasting impact. We are eagerly looking forward to integrating Ozobots into our Pollinators unit, where they will simulate the movement of pollinators in a vibrant and educational way. Additionally, incorporating the robots into our Technology/Robot unit gave the students a hands-on learning opportunity that helped bridge the gap between theory and application.\r\nYour generosity has made a profound difference in my classroom, fostering collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. I am so grateful for the opportunity to provide my students with these unique learning experiences, and they are equally appreciative of the joy and knowledge they've gained.
